Hot Rod Sbarro Eight Concept

A couple of years ago the students of school of design titled ESPERA Sbarro Montbéliard built and presented Hot Rod Sbarro Eight Concept. This extremely extravagant car, which was build in 40 days, combined two absolutely different styles - the old hot rod and the futuristic stealth bomber.

The Hot Rod Concept has a 3.2L twin turbo Maserati V8 engine, which was taken from a wrecked Maserati 3200 GT. The chosen engine fits perfectly an absolutely mad design concept, putting 368 horsepower under the car’s hood. The Hot Rod Concept has custom side-exit exhausts, which are attached directly to the turbos. They spit the unburnt fuel and produce flames on the overrun.

This unusual car also surprises with its huge wheels - OZ Racing Ultraleggera, - which are bigger on the back than on the front. The wheels are covered with Bridgestone Potenzas tires in the back and Michelin Pilot Sports ones at the front.

As for interior, the creators of Hot Rod Concept have made it really peculiar. It rejoices with a real wood and leather, custom fiberglass seats and plexiglass used for creation of windscreen and side windows. And the steering wheel, which is also covered by leather, even features a well-known Magic 8 ball in the middle.

But one of the most important things in Hot Rod Concept is that usually such cars don’t run, but this prototype is a working one.
