Samsung has revealed new Galaxy S8 and S8+ that feature bigger screen and lack of traditional button.

The majority of mobile device producers found one of the smartphones as a flagship. Every flagship release is not only launching of more powerful phone, but also demonstration of the company’s latest developments. Very often technical issue or design of the flagship influence on the products of other companies, making them adapt to the market trends.

Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+ have changed design from the previous version and differ from each other by screen size and battery (5.8/6.2 in and 3,000/3,500mAh respectively). The infinity screen has resolution of 2,960×1,440 and covers more surface, while the traditional bar with buttons has been removed. However, the buttons are virtual now, and the home button responds on physical press even at dark screen. Fingerprint sensor is on the back of the phone.

The S8 is powered by 8-core Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895, 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal memory. The main camera is 12 mp and front – 8 mp. The phone carries Android 7.0 on board, with S8 featuring Bixby voice assistant.

Moreover, the smartphone has retina sensor, USB-C as well as 3.5mm jack. The new Galaxy features IP68 certification are resistant to water ingress for 30 mins for up to 3,2 ft depth.
Pre-order for Galaxy S is opened since March 30, while the official start of sales is slated for April 21.
