Sandboarding: summer version of snowboarding

Seems like humans created everything for their entertainment that can be created – skates, snowboards, rollers, skateboards, etc. But it turned out that it is possible to slide not only on the ground, ice or water, but also on the sand. It can be done even with the help of a regular skateboard, but without wheels. Feelings can be compared only with those ones which people have driving a Jeep through the sandy waves in the Sahara.

Of course, as the surface is sand the board has to be changed too. It got the name “sandboarding” which is clearly a combination of words “sand” and “board”. The frontal part of the board became a bit wider than a regular skateboard has, but the rear part is conversely narrowed so that a skateboard can turn and maneuver quickly at any time.

The lower part of a board from the deck to the rear is a bit bulgy. It is done specially for improving of the sliding. Belts are located in a standard way. Sand itself can become a problem. However, if a sportsman is always on the run, sand will get away and will not make any discomfort to a board. The board was made from special light wood and it has the ability to bend a bit. Unfortunately, you can ride it only in the warm season like summer. But it can be said the same about any other kind if sports. It is quite doubtfully that somebody will ride a bike or a skateboard in winter.

However, if you can find a good beach with quite good sand and huge amount of it, it will be so hard to stop. It will be a difficult task to drag you out of sand. It is a really exciting and amazing leisure activity which can be tried by everyone. Just find a place and prepare a board for yourself. Of course, it will be hard to get used to riding on sand surface, but sportsmen have ability to accustom to almost any condition. So, it will not be a problem if you are really interested in this activity to find a board and to try this sport.
