American Sniper by Clint Eastwood

American Sniper by Clint Eastwood was nominated for Oscar as “the best film” this year. And only this fact can make us pay our attention to this film. And, of course, the name of the director says in favor for it.

American Sniper by Clint Eastwood

The story tells us about a sniper Chris Kyle, so-called a Texas cowboy. When he was a kid his father taught him and his brother that in life there three types of people: sheep (victims), wolves (predators) and shepherd dogs (those who protect ones from another). It is clear who Chis was supposed to become according to these word. And he did it.
But at the beginning Chris liked rodeo and was fond of some other typical for men hobbies. Television changed everything. Chris saw death, violence, and injustice. Only the US Army as he thought could prevent all the evil in the world. In such a way Chris became a U.S. Navy SEALs sniper.

Being in Iraq, Chris realized his real purpose in life. His gun protected good people from bad ones, sheep from wolves, and democracy from tyranny. Soon Chris became a true legend. Other soldiers in battles knew that there is Chris, their guiding angel, who would cover them and save. And everything was quite good, till another great sniper appeared in the enemy side.
American Sniper is a patriotic drama based on the real story. It is shot realistic and well-played by great actors.
Bradley Cooper can be seen here in a completely different light. It looks like he switched from mainstream movies to more sincere works. Here he is pretty persuasive and natural. Clint Eastwood is always responsible for his work so are actors who work with him.
Wars movies are almost always about drive dynamic shoots, tricks and lots of action. And here action is quite qualitative. The movie is spectacular and wholesome in all aspects. The only minus is that it is a bit too patriotic.
