BELL AH-1Z is an American multi-mission flying tank.

The foundation for the AH-1Z is taken from the previous model – BELL AH-1W Super Cobra. The differences between the models include composite four-bladed rotor, upgraded engine as well as modernized electronic systems for communication, navigation, display and control.

For the first time, this flying tank appeared in the sky back in 2000, and then Textron produced 3 prototypes in 2002. Beginning from 2003 this model is on bulk production, with boosted output by 2010. The company plans to upgrade the old Super Cobra and release BELL Ah 1Z Viper by 2019.

After revision and improvement, the system allows detecting, targeting and firing precision long-distance weapons. This model can carry different types of weapons from aircraft guns to controlled/uncontrolled missiles, which makes it multi-purpose, mobile and killing machine.
